Nor can we find one -- even one -- supposedly best historian -- who mentions crowds cheered when told US can be the admiration and terror of the world if "Mr Lincoln" well get out of the way

Of cousrse since the supposed historians and supposed history teachers do not teach that Douglas (and others) wanted to get Lincoln out of the way, they are not about to tell you want that meant.

Douglas did not need everyone to cheer -- he just needed everyone to wonder and think of their daughters "sleeping with Niggers" .
Luckily most people were not stupid enough to believe it all, or Lincoln would have a bullet in his brain long before.
STENOGREAPHER TIME
Stenographer of the debates -- Robert Hitts -said later Douglas almost never said the word Negro. He said the word Nigger.
Even on the Senate floor, when Charles Sumner asked Douglas to refrain from that word Douglas ignored Sumner. Later Douglas would laugh as Sumner was almost beaten to Death. Douglas later claimed he was not there when Sumner was beaten almost to death
DOuglas was most certainly there -- the day before the attack, Douglas told Sumner that he -- Sumner -"should be beaten like a god"
And the very next day -- Sumner was beaten like a dog by a man later honored for almost killing a US Senator for telling the truth.
By the way -- 6 years later- three weeks before he died -- Steven A Douglas almost admitted to his fried John Palmer that Sumner was right the way. Douglas told Palmer that Palmer (and others) had him all wrong. He was not helping Jeff Davis spread slavery to Pacific- - rather Douglas was pretending to be Davis ally -- in order to get Davis to "show his hand" sooner, and be destroyed earlier.

If you don't know who Senator David Rice Atchison was - blame your teachers and text book.
At the time, no one was more important than David Rice Atchison. Not Lincoln. Not Jeff Davis. Not Stephen A Douglas. Not even the President was more important, because Atchison had already used killers to invaded and murder those who resisted slavery.
But soon Atchison would openly invade torture and kill (he had his hired fools do that - Atchison like other famous South leaders you know -- never got near the killings. They all had a way to send the paid fools - starting with a speech -- and show up later giving another speech to take the credit. South leaders were smart that way -- send in fools and thugs. Pat them on the head. Give them some cash and alcohol, and feel good about it.
Though 95% of Kansas citizens were famously against slavery -- not only did Jeff Davis send two groups of paid men to invade torture and kill (1854 and 1856)
Jeff Davis also put US Senator David Rice Atchison in charge of both invasions.
Atchison could incite crowds to hate and cheering killing, especially those men who arrived from Texas in 1856.
ATCHISON told the hired men -- recently arrived -- he would see Kansas in Hell before he let it be a free state.
Remember -- 95% of Kansas Citizens were against slavery -- and would vote by that % to become a free state, when they could finally get an election not controlled by Jeff Davis's paid killers- - in other words, not controlled by Atchison's paid men
The entire purpose of Jeff Davis and Roger Taney inserting those absurd words (that blacks are not human, that the fed gov must protect the violent spread of slavery to name just two)
was to justify Davis's past and future invasion and killing to spread slavery, It's important, therefore to know that Davis used Dred Scott decision for exactly that purpose
But there is not a single US text book that we know of -- not one (until college level) that even mentions Taney and Davis inserted language to make it clear that blacks can not be seen as human beings, and that the fed gov must help the violent spread of slavery.
INSTEAD Instead we teach students that Dred was about "citizenship," which is nonsense deliberate punk ass deflection.

PASS KANSAS ACT
Davis, with help of Stephen A Douglas and US Senator Atchison, passed Kansas Act -- which they sold as "popular sovereighty".
The problem with that lie -- as Lincoln called it a damnable lie from first day to this --instead of letting Kansas citizens vote on slavery as promised, Davis sent the two groups of paid killers to terrorize torture and kill to make sure Kansas could not be a slave state.
Davis was well aware 95% of Kansas Citizens were against slavery -- but as Davis and Atchison's correspondence proves, Davis and Atchison depended on a quick show of violence --- certain that Kansas CItizens would back down and not fight to prevent slavery in Kansas.
They were wrong.

Davis and Stephen A Douglas were exceedingly aware 95% of Kansas Citizens were against slavery.

Stephen A Douglas, repeatedly, not only backed Jeff Davis invasion of Kansas by passing Kansas Act, Douglas backed Jeff Davis insane support of invading Latin American countries, to force them to be part of a slave empire. When Douglas-- as he did -- spoke in support of being "Terror of the Word" he was specifically talking about violently taking over Latin American Countries as part of that slave empire

There is not a single US text books below college level that even mentions this -- much less shows it was basic to Douglas and Davis's actions regarding the spread of slavery -- always by violence. There was no point at which Davis was going to spread slavery by anything other than violence.

INSERTING WORDS AT LAST MINUTE
Stephen A Douglas inserted specific words that however the first vote about slavery goes --- it can not later be change. No one thought of putting any such language for any other state. But suddenly Stephen A Douglas added that language. He just never told anyone.
Kansas Act passed-- with that provision -- that the first vote about slavery would be a forever vote, no change possible.
So if Davis got Kansas to be a slave state at first --- his goal -- there was no way possible to undo slaver never mind that 95% of the public being against slavery
Stephen A Douglas inserted those words without making it clear to anyone else. There was never any intention by Kansas Act folks (Davis Atchison and Douglas) to let Kansas be a free state.
And Lincoln repeatedly exposed this subrtrafuge --

Davis also came up with the plan to send paid men -- two groups of them as stated abot, up with the plans to invade torture and kill --and to justify those invasions and killings by the Dred Scott decision.

But Davis was not about to do any invading and killing himself. For that Davis relied on Atchison -- US Senator Atchison, and the 2000 paid men Davis hired from Texas in 1855.
Davis already -- already -- sent sent a smaller group of men in 1854 to invade and kill Kansas Citizens, to terrorize the entire Territory, so that Davis could force Kansas to be a free state.
But that group did not get the job done. Hence Davis sent another group, a much larger group, in 1856.
FIRST STEP
PASS KANSAS ACT
Not long after Davis, Atchison.and Douglas got President Pierce to sign Kansas Act, Atchison showed up in Kansas, to meet 800 men already waiting for him, in 1854.
Their goal -- as Atchison would boast about -- was to kill enough Kansas citizens to make Kansas a slave state.

95% of Kansas Citizens were against slavery -- as Atchison knew well, because Stephen A Douglas, his partner, made that very clear and famously so. 19 of 20 Kansas citizens Douglas told them, were against slavery.
So how the hell would Atchison force them to be a slave state?

Atchison knew it would take an invasion, and he would need to get about 800 men to invade terrorize and later kill to spread slavery.
It did not work. Atchison could not force Kansas Citizens to agree to be a slave state.
So Jeff Davis then sent -- in1856 -- a much larger group of paid men -- paid is important here. Paid is important because Davis could not find nearly enough stupid shits to invade torture and kill Kansas Citizens with volunteers.
Davis also (See below) sent US troops to protect his paid Texas men.

Important to know that Atchison did not care that much if slavery spread or not... he would desert by the time Lincoln became President and stayed safe in Texas while his fools killed and were killed in Kansas.
Atchison big donation was his insane hateful speeches, bragging of killing to spread slavery for GOD, bragging or spreading slavery to the Pacific, whatever it took to get crowds to cheer -- Atchison was more like Trump, pumping up the stupid with hate and liers.
